Dryer
If a single load demands a second cycle, the machine has a defect, and each repeat run adds to the bill. Heat and airflow get measured together, since either can disguise the other.

What we handle
What goes wrong
Dryer complaints sort into three groups, and identifying yours determines how long we will be.
Electric machines drop the element or blow a safety fuse. On gas, either the glow bar or the flame detector has given up. All of it is routine.
Restricted airflow in almost every case. In condos the condenser blocks instead, and those hide it better than vented machines do.
The belt most often, though worn rollers or a locked tensioner finish the same way after a period of noise nobody acted on.
Support wheels and the idler wear out of round. Dealt with early the parts are inexpensive. Left alone they take the belt and load the motor.
The thermal fuse protecting a machine running too hot. The actual cause lies upstream, either in restricted air or a thermostat that will not open.
Something in the protective chain is no longer passing current, and it will be the door, the start button or the rear fuse.
Included as standard
None of it costs extra. On a dryer especially, whatever has broken and whatever is about to break tend to live in the same compartment.

What a dryer reports concerns temperature, air movement, or how it measures dampness.
A ventilation warning wants investigating, not clearing. Blocked exhaust drives the internal heat up and lengthens every run. That combination is behind the majority of laundry fires, and it also explains why a fresh heating coil can die inside twelve months.

From the job sheet
Jean-Paul L., Northview
Reported: The owners had written the dryer off and were shopping for a new one.
Found and done: The vent run was blocked from end to end and the heater had failed at one corner. Opened up the exhaust, installed a replacement heater, and the following wash came out dry first time. No replacement needed.
Marc L., Pointe-Claire Village
Reported: Stacked unit in a lakeshore condo where the laundry sits in a closet with no outside wall.
Found and done: Condenser was blocked with lint, which these models conceal better than vented machines. Stripped and cleaned it, checked the moisture sensor, and showed the owner where the second filter hides behind the lower panel.
Ann W., Oneida
Reported: Noise building over several months until it became impossible to ignore.
Found and done: The drum wheels had flattened and the belt was on its last weeks. Replaced rollers, idler and belt together, since doing them one at a time means coming back. Quiet since.
Where we work
Dryer calls right across Pointe-Claire, including the condo buildings where the laundry sits in a closet and the exhaust has nowhere obvious to go.
If your street is not listed, ring and we will tell you straight away.
How a booking goes
The model number and a description of the fault, either over the phone or through the form. That alone usually narrows things to a handful of parts.
We give you a slot narrow enough to plan around rather than a vague half-day. If a service elevator or a parking permit is involved, that gets sorted now.
Testing happens before anything is dismantled. You then hear one figure covering the whole repair, with nothing added later for having looked.
The machine goes through a full cycle while somebody is still there to watch it, the area gets tidied, and the ninety-day date is printed on your invoice.
