Stove & Cooktop
Ignition that clicks away without catching, or a zone that refuses to see what you have put on it, stops dinner where it stands. Gas jobs stay with our own licensed technicians instead of being passed to somebody else.

What we handle
What goes wrong
Cooktops signal clearly when something is going. Reading the signal correctly is what keeps unnecessary parts off the invoice.
Grease baked onto the electrode, a crack through its insulator, or liquid trapped beneath the burner cap.
It will be one of three things: the coil itself, the control it runs through, or a scorched block where it plugs in.
A failed coil or power board. Occasionally the cookware is simply wrong for induction, so we try a pan that definitely works before discussing cost.
The fuel is not burning cleanly, which generally means blocked ports or an air adjustment that has moved. We treat this as safety work rather than performance.
The control can no longer modulate what reaches the element. What remains is full heat or none, with nothing workable in between.
Stop using it and ring. Anything involving a connection or a gas valve is licensed work, and those bookings go to the front.
Included as standard
Everything listed forms part of the visit. Burners and zones run off common circuits and feeds, so examining one in isolation seldom reveals what is actually happening.

Codes on the display
A hob says far less than an oven, but the handful of messages it does give are worth understanding.
Induction boards sit immediately beneath the glass and depend on air moving underneath. Where the hob sits tight against a drawer or has insulation stuffed underneath, the warnings keep returning until that space is freed.

From the job sheet
Claude P., Oneida
Reported: Household had already been told elsewhere that the range needed replacing.
Found and done: The outlets were clogged and a spark point had split across its insulator. Cleared the ports, replaced one electrode, and checked each connection for tightness. The range is still in service.
Sophie R., Lakeside Heights
Reported: A single zone would not recognise pans that the remaining three handled without issue.
Found and done: Coil tested within range, which pointed to the power board below it. Component sourced that same day and installed next morning, with the owners updated throughout instead of wondering.
Owen G., Northview
Reported: Burner lighting normally but the ignition carrying on throughout cooking.
Found and done: The switch had stuck closed, which keeps the spark circuit live. Swapped the control, cleaned the burner head and spark point while it was open, and verified every zone shut off properly.
Where we work
Range and cooktop calls across the whole town. A reported odour goes straight to the top of the list, because waiting until morning is not an option.
If your street is not listed, ring and we will tell you straight away.
How a booking goes
The model number and a description of the fault, either over the phone or through the form. That alone usually narrows things to a handful of parts.
We give you a slot narrow enough to plan around rather than a vague half-day. If a service elevator or a parking permit is involved, that gets sorted now.
Testing happens before anything is dismantled. You then hear one figure covering the whole repair, with nothing added later for having looked.
The machine goes through a full cycle while somebody is still there to watch it, the area gets tidied, and the ninety-day date is printed on your invoice.
